Our Travel Advisor Kate just spent a few days racing around Singapore. Literally.

Thanks to a family hosted by the Singapore Tourism Board and Room-Res, her itinerary was full of fast cars, fancy cocktails, riverside strolls and a touch of F1 magic. If you’re hunting for the best places to see in Singapore, you’re in the right place. Here’s what made the cut.

A Flying Start with Singapore Airlines

Premium Economy on Singapore Airlines set the tone for a smooth, stress-free journey. With spacious seating, stellar service and a surprisingly comfortable long-haul, it’s no wonder Kate arrived fresh.

Changi Airport didn’t disappoint either. It took just 12 minutes from disembarking to boarding the transfer bus. Now that’s how you do airport efficiency.

Sleep Smart in the City That Never Slows Down

Kate stayed at M Social Hotel in Robertson Quay, a compact hotel with a big personality.Set right on the river and surrounded by lively restaurants and bars, it’s ideal for professionals or short-stay travellers who want to explore the city with ease.

The Coolest Way to See the City

Singapore Sidecars stole the show for sightseeing. Riding shotgun in a retro sidecar, wind in your hair, felt more rockstar than tourist. It beat the heat, skipped the crowds and did the landmarks in serious style.

Cocktails with a Side of Chinese Medicine

For dinner, the team ducked into Synthesis, a speakeasy-style spot where Chinese medicinal ingredients sneak their way into cocktails and dumplings. It’s inventive, cheeky and seriously tasty. Definitely one of the more unusual places to see in Singapore and worth booking ahead.

Universally Thrilled

No Singapore trip is complete without a visit to Universal Studios Sentosa. Kate enjoyed the VIP Experience, which meant never queuing for more than six minutes. If you’re travelling with kids or just love a good rollercoaster, this is the way to do it.

Speedboats, Sweet Treats and a Side of Satay

Kate also jumped on a speedboat around Sentosa and the nearby islands for a breezy new angle on Singapore. Then it was off to Dempsey Hill, a former army barracks now serving up serious foodie vibes. She whipped up F1-inspired chocolates at Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie, lunched like a local at Violet Oon and found her inner child (and sweet tooth) at the Ice Cream Museum. No duds here. Every stop was a hit.

The Main Event: Formula One Singapore

The highlight of the trip? The Singapore Grand Prix. As a massive F1 fan, Kate was in her element. Thanks to the Singapore Tourism Board, she watched the action from the ultra-exclusive Vanda Suite at Turn 1. French Champagne, chilli crab, oysters and front-row views of the practice laps? She was living like a celebrity and loving every second.

For qualifying and race day, she swapped the suite for the Padang Grandstand in Zone 4, with unbeatable views of the track and the main stage. With acts like Lewis Capaldi, the Foo Fighters and Elton John turning it into an all-out party, it was less race day, more festival weekend.

And here’s a fun fact: Singapore is home to the world’s first Formula One night race. Between the city lights, screaming engines and next-level energy, it’s one of those bucket-list moments you just have to experience in person.
